These pictures were taken on my birthday. We took advantage of the warm weather and spent the afternoon at Rehoboth Beach. The girls had fun on the boardwalk but Meg didn't care much for the beach. She didn't like the sand and she definitely didn't appreciate having her toes in the ocean!

This will be our last foray to the beach for a while. I may not be a geography expert, but I don't recall any beaches in Ohio...

Anna, the egg hunter!

Anna really enjoyed the egg hunt at Glen Foerd. She was a much better egg hunter this year! Last year, she didn't get more than a few eggs before the older kids snatched them all up. This year she was much wiser because Todd gave her some egg hunting pointers right before the event! Here she is checking out her loot!

Meg's first experience with cake!

Meg really enjoyed her first taste of icing. She wasn't sure what to do with it at first but once she realized it was sweet, she started shoving it in her mouth and didn't stop until the icing was all gone (and smeared all over her face!).

Meg's First Ponytail!

The last six months have been one giant bad hair day for Meg. Usually, I can put a headband in her hair and have it look reasonably decent. But yesterday she figured out how to pull the headband off. So now I've resorted to the ponytail on top of the head ala Pebbles Flintstone. Unfortunatelly, Meg is cursed with the same hair as Anna and me (stick straight and super fine).

As you can see from the expression on her face, she's thrilled with her new 'do.

Meg Gets Squeaky Clean!

A few weeks ago, we switched Meg's baths to the big tub. She was getting too big for the baby tub and she made huge messes splashing in the sink! She didn't like the big tub at first but now she thinks it is a blast. She can kick, splash and crawl around in the big tub.

Check out those teeth! She's almost one and she already has eight teeth and the ninth is on it's way out!

Sweet Dreams for Anna

Every spring we get a catalog in the mail from the Party Express store. The catalog is filled with different themes for children's birthday parties. Every year, Anna spends hours pouring over the pages searching for the perfect party theme. And every year, she ends up asking for a Dora themed party. She's so predictable!
