Anna's first day of first grade!

Anna started school the day after we returned from vacation. She was excited to be in first grade and so far, she is enjoying it. Meg was lonely without her big sister and as you can see, she had a big hug for her at the end of the day!

We spent a few days at the beach this year. The girls enjoyed the waves, sand and boardwalk.

Our visit to historic Philadelphia

We decided to take the girls to see some historic sites while we were in Philadelphia. Anna really wanted to see the "birthplace of America" so we went to Independence Hall. We also saw the Liberty Bell, the Mint and Betsy Ross' House. It was a busy morning!

Todd's second promotion

Not many Lt. Cols can say they've been promoted twice but that's exactly what Todd did so he could share this moment with friends and family in DC. It was a joint ceremony with his college friend, Chris, at the Air Force memorial on an incredibly hot day in August.
