Soccer Saturdays

Anna is doing soccer at the Y this fall and today was her first game. She spent some time as the goalie and blocked two balls! Her soccer skills have definitely improved since last year; she's no longer afraid of the ball! Todd is having fun as the assistant coach. Go team Blue Thunder!

Meg's first day of school!

Ever since Anna started school last month, Meg has been crying, begging and whining that she wants to go to school too. I didn't think she was serious because, well, we all know how Meg can be.... But I found a mother's morning out program for toddlers that she can attend once a week. Today was her first day. After a week of mental preparation for this, Meg was gung ho until it was time to walk into the classroom. She had second thoughts and started to cry. Her teacher, Miss Andrea, scooped her up before she could run back to Mommy and Daddy. She cried for a few minutes but she quickly quieted down and we left.

Miss Andrea said she did well and Meg was happy as a clam to see me at the pick-up. She gave high fives to everyone as she walked out the door and she is already talking about going back to school next week!
